美術學系博士班

本博士班藉由藝術哲學、視覺文化及跨領域等課程作為藝術批判與實踐研究之基礎，積極回應社會、政治、科技、文化課題，推展詮釋、批判性的知識生產，主要透過藝術理論與批判、藝術作為社會踐履、研究方法、論文計畫及前驅研究，強調實踐與能動性論述的可能性，提供多元的國際學習資源及專業獨立研究環境，期許培養頂尖藝術文化理論與實踐人才。

The Ph.D. Program of the Department of Fine Arts offers two majors: “Transdisciplinary Research” and “Practice-Based Artistic Research”. The major “Transdisciplinary Research” focuses on image studies, curatorial practices, and trans-studies on contemporary thoughts, as well as on the transdisciplinary integration and the production of creative discourses. The major “Practice-Based Artistic Research” centers on diverse genres of visual art creation, integrating research in both artistic practice and related theoretical studies, while also exploring the possibilities of unconventional creative thinking and dialectical approaches.

戲劇學系博士班

為全臺灣第一所提供戲劇理論博士學位的學府，領域涵蓋「戲劇及劇場史論」、「身體與儀式研究」等專業必修。本博士班提供「學術研究」及「展演創作實務研究」管道取得博士學位，鼓勵博士生在多元專業領域中發展問題意識，建構學術論述，完成博士論文。

The Department of Theatre Arts in TNUA is the first academic institute in Taiwan providing Ph.D. research program in drama and theatre studies. We offer compulsory courses including “Body and Ritual” and “Drama and Theatre History and Theory.” Ph.D. students are urged to develop their problem awareness and to elaborate their academic discourses via the two graduation pathways: academic research or research with practices in performing creativity, and eventually to submit their Ph.D. thesis.

舞蹈學系博士班

臺灣第一個舞蹈博士班，以提昇國內整體舞蹈研究的深度與廣度、培養具有研究精神與實力的未來師資、厚實舞蹈表演與創作人才的研究與論述能力、引導舞蹈專業人才進行創作與創意相關的研究、培養跨領域與跨文化的舞蹈研究人才、培養具備國際視野與前瞻能力的舞蹈學者及工作者為發展方向及目標。

Established in 2013, the Ph.D. in Dance program is the first in Taiwan. TNUA’s Ph.D. in Dance Studies aims to promote culturally and historically contextualized dance studies in the larger Asian context. The program seeks to nurture doctoral standards in dance scholarship, research, and pedagogy. The program goals emphasize expanding understanding of local contexts of knowledge and their intersections with global visions, as well as the heightened critical inquiries in cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural studies. The students are expected to be fluent in theoretical discourses and capable of being engaged in international and intercultural dialogues.

文化資產與藝術創新博士班

以「文化資產」及「藝術創新」為雙主軸，含括有形文化資產、無形文化資產、博物館及博物館學研究、文化政策、藝術行政與管理、藝術與人文教育、文化創意產業等面向。建構自由、多元及強調社會關懷的教研氛圍；以廣義且跨域的文化資產及藝術創新的理論、學術、政策、行政、展演創作、社會參與、推廣及實務為主要的教學、研究及服務方向。強調國際視野及地方深耕並重，期許能發展為國際級文化資產研究及藝術創新重鎮。

This program is centered around two main pillars, “cultural heritage” and “artistic innovation,” encompassing various aspects such as tangible cultural heritage, intangible cultural heritage, museum studies, cultural policy, arts administration and management, arts and humanities education, and the studies of arts and creativity and technology Art.

It aims to foster a research and teaching environment that promotes freedom, diversity, and a strong emphasis on social responsibility. The program’s primary focus is on the broad and interdisciplinary fields of cultural heritage and artistic innovation, covering theories, academia, policies, administration, exhibition and creative production, social engagement, promotion, and practical applications.

With an emphasis on both international perspectives and local engagement, the program aspires to develop into an internationally renowned hub for cultural heritage research and artistic innovation.
